This session explores teacher well-being from both individual and systemic lenses, addressing the challenges educators face and the solutions that foster resilience, job satisfaction, and a supportive work environment. Attendees will gain actionable strategies to enhance their personal well-being while also advocating for institutional changes that prioritize teacher mental health and creating cultures of care and support.
Participants will practice mindfulness techniques alongside expressive art exercises designed to reduce stress and enhance self-awareness - no art experience is needed. The session also offers practical ideas for integrating mindful creativity into the classroom to support student well-being and emotional regulation. Perfect for educators looking to care for themselves while gaining tools to create a calmer, more connected learning environment.
Spend time putting the pieces together from our district learning and work on units that will support ALL students, including EL students. Feel prepared to support all students for Fall 2025.
SIOP Implementation: Participants will review instructional and assessment accommodations that support English Learners that we discussed in SIOP. The majority of the time will be spent to work either alone or with grade level teams to dive into instructional units, adding accommodations, leveled graphic organizers, supplemental texts, leveled readings, accommodated assessments, and other supports for different language and ability levels. While the work is intended to focus on supporting English Learners, it will benefit all students who have unique learning needs.
As buildings work on school improvement plans, collaboration and planning are essential to success. This time is meant for teams who have prearranged planning with their building administrator. This can be done in home buildings and needs to be agreed upon with all team members.
We will define the current and future reality of the workforce and identify various pathways for postsecondary student success. You will be given time to examine how Clear Creek Amana students compare to the rest of Iowa and explore Future Ready resources available for students.

This session is intended for building work that provides a sense of closure to the year as well as an opportunity to plan for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is for principal/building-led professional learning that will be held in individual buildings. Please check with your building administrator to see if this is an expectation for you.
